Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, member of the Moscow international art fund. He was born in Irkutsk region in 1955. He graduated from Art Institute in Omsk in 1982. Since 1982 artist lives and works in Krasnoyarsk. Irkutsk, Omsk and Krasnoyarsk are big cities in Siberia, Russia.

Nikolaj paints in different styles and genres. The artist loves the life and he transfer these pleasant sensations on the canvases. He has the series of fine landscapes in impressionistic style. Also Nikolaj has created oils in style of a cubism and avant-gardism. Series of paintings - "Flowers" is very bright and emotional. Also the artist is fond expressionism. His variety of styles finds the grateful response and a recognition at spectators. The artist took part in art exhibitions in Krasnoyarsk and Krasnoyarsk region also in the international exhibitions in cities of Germany. The exhibition in Holland has just ended, the following exhibitions will be in England and Italy.

Nikolaj Balyshev is the organizer and the participant of the international project "Bridge of Arts Westphalia - Siberia".
